What Goes Up, Must come down… (at least that’s what “they” say)

All my life (and that’s shorter than you’d expect) I’ve always heard the statement “what goes up, must come down” but is that really true?
What I perceive from this statement is that all good things must come to an end (and that gravity can be painful) but I believe that it depends on how you look at it. I see it as a bouncing ball. It goes up but it comes down at its peak. This is the side that most people look at, but the way I see it is like a super-extra-bouncy ball. It goes oh so very high and comes down with a boinnnggg. But that’s not the end of it… It goes back up again just as high as before.
Now all of you guys are probably wondering why I brought balls, gravity and height into the equation. A lot of you may not know it yet but this is very similar to the life we know up here. ‘How?’ you ask? Well… a lot of people consider all good things in life to stay for a short period of time, go with a whoosshhh, and never come back. This, as you’ve probably guessed it, is what “they” say.
A lot of you are probably wondering who “they” are. To summarize,  I’ve divided the world’s population into “they” and “the rest”. “They” think that all good things come to an end but “the rest” think that the goods always come back. “The rest” are people like me who believe in something I like to call “the bouncing ball theory”. This states that things that go up, must come down, BUT, they are bound to go back up again, AND, to go back up they must be thrown down on to the floor very, very, hard.
This reminds me of a saying, “adversity causes some men to break, others to break records. People who are thrown down on the floor either:  1)become failures or 2)become ultra successful. These people, once again, are the rest. Their stories are known far and wide, the most popular of them being Bill Gates, Colonel Sanders, W. Mitchell and lots of others. Were they successful? Yes but that depends on what they think of themselves. Now I think I’m making this a little farfetched but the point is, good things don’t die, they just stay in hiding so they can make their big appearance. I’ll leave it to you guys to figure out whether you’re a “they” or “the rest”. ‘till then, I leave you with something useful to ponder over.
